Ocean Growth Security provides event cleaning in Dubai for conferences, exhibitions, product launches, concerts, sporting fixtures, weddings and private functions. Cleaning at an event is not one job — it is three, and each one has a different deadline.
Events are judged in the first ten minutes and the last ten. A venue that is spotless when guests arrive and strewn with cups when they leave is remembered for the second half. The plan has to cover both.
Before, during and after
- Pre-event preparation — the full clean before build-up or immediately after it: floors, washrooms, glass, entrances, back-of-house corridors and the areas the build team left behind. This is the visit with the least margin, because the venue has to be ready at a fixed hour.
- During-event cleaning — washrooms on a short cycle, waste collected before it becomes visible, spill response, and floor care in high-traffic routes. Discreet by design: guests should not be navigating a cleaning operation.
- Post-event cleaning — the largest job. Waste removal, floor recovery, washroom restoration, seating areas, back-of-house, and returning the venue to its pre-event condition within the turnaround window.
Venues and events we cover
We work in hotels and ballrooms, exhibition halls and convention centres, outdoor venues and marquees, sports facilities, private residences hosting functions, and corporate offices running evening events. Outdoor and marquee events need a different plan from an indoor venue — windblown waste, uneven surfaces, and no fixed water or power.
Waste is the real variable
Cleaning an event is mostly a waste-handling problem wearing a cleaning costume. A standing reception generates a large volume of glass and food waste in a short period; an exhibition generates packaging and build waste; a wedding generates both plus floral and table waste.
We plan bin placement before the event rather than during it, agree which waste streams are segregated and where they go, and confirm the venue’s own collection arrangements. Where a venue has limited bin capacity, we arrange interim storage and removal rather than leaving bags in a service corridor.
Working around the programme
Event cleaning runs to a run sheet, not to a rota. In practice that means:
- Cleaning staff are briefed on the programme — doors, speeches, intervals, and the point at which the room can be entered.
- Washroom cleaning happens in the gaps, not during the peak.
- Waste collection follows the room rather than the clock: cleared after the main course, not during it.
- Any work that makes noise waits for the interval or the end.
- A supervisor stays on site for the duration, so decisions do not have to be escalated to someone who is not there.
Turnarounds between events
Venues running back-to-back events have a fixed window between the last guest leaving and the next build starting. That window is where event cleaning succeeds or fails, and it needs a realistic staffing number rather than an optimistic one. We will tell you what can actually be achieved in the time available, and what has to be deferred to a separate deep clean, rather than promising a full reset in two hours.
How event cleaning is priced
Event cleaning is quoted per event, based on the venue and area, expected attendance, the hours covered, the waste volume, and whether the job includes pre-event, during-event and post-event phases or only one of them. Outdoor and marquee events are quoted separately because access, water and power change the work.

Frequently asked questions
Can you cover only the post-event clean?
Yes. Many clients already have staff for the event itself and need a team for the clear-up, which is the phase that needs the most people in the least time.
Do you provide waste removal as well as cleaning?
We collect, segregate and present waste, and arrange removal where the venue’s own collection is not enough. Disposal is quoted with the event.
How many cleaners does an event need?
It depends on attendance, venue size, catering and the turnaround window. A 500-guest standing reception and a 500-guest seated dinner generate very different volumes of waste. We will give you a firm number after a survey.
Can you work at an outdoor venue?
Yes, including marquees and open sites. Outdoor events need a plan for windblown waste and for water and power access, which we agree in advance.
Do you work alongside the venue’s own cleaning team?
Yes, provided the split of responsibility is clear. We agree a single supervisor for the cleaning operation so instructions do not conflict.
