Careers at Ocean Growth Security

Ocean Growth Security recruits security guards, cleaners, CCTV operators, bouncers and event staff across Dubai and the wider UAE. We hire directly rather than through a labour supply chain, which means the person you meet at interview is the person who turns up on the site.

This page explains what we look for, how the process works, and what we provide. Individual vacancies are listed on our security guard jobs and part-time event security jobs pages.

Who we hire

  • Security guards — static posts, concierge and front-of-house, gatehouse, patrol and mobile cover.
  • Event security and bouncers — crowd control, door supervision and event staffing, often on short and one-off deployments.
  • CCTV operators — control room staff working screen walls and coordinating guard response.
  • Cleaning teams and supervisors — commercial, building and specialist cleaning across Dubai.
  • Fire wardens, lifeguards and traffic marshals — trained roles with specific certification requirements.
  • Supervisors and site managers — the people who inspect the work and answer the client’s phone.

What we look for

Requirements vary by role, but the fundamentals are consistent:

  • A valid SIRA security licence for guarding and security roles, or the willingness to complete the process if you are otherwise qualified.
  • Relevant experience — previous security, hospitality, military, police or facility experience is useful, though not essential for every role.
  • Communication — the ability to write a clear incident report and to de-escalate a situation verbally. Most incidents are resolved by talking, not by force.
  • Reliability — turning up on time, in the correct uniform, for every shift. In a 24/7 operation, reliability is the single most valuable attribute.
  • Right to work in the UAE, with valid documentation.

How our hiring process works

  1. Application — send your CV with the role you are applying for.
  2. Screening — we review experience, licence status and availability.
  3. Interview — in person or by video, covering your experience and what you are looking for.
  4. Vetting — identity verification, background checks and reference checks before any deployment.
  5. Induction and site training — you are trained on the specific site before working it unsupervised.

Vetting is not a formality. It is the reason clients allow our staff into their buildings, and it applies to everyone regardless of seniority.

What we provide

  • Licensing support — help completing and renewing SIRA registration where required.
  • Training — induction, site-specific training and role-specific courses. See training and development.
  • Uniform and equipment — issued and maintained by us.
  • Supervision — a named supervisor for every site, so you have someone to escalate to who is not a phone number in an office.
  • Progression — guards move into supervisory and control room roles, and several of our supervisors started on the door.
  • On-time wages and clear shift patterns communicated in advance.

Where you would work

Deployments cover residential towers and communities, commercial offices, retail and hospitality venues, construction sites, hospitals and schools, events and venues, and ports and logistics facilities across Dubai and the wider UAE. Shift patterns vary from fixed day or night posts to rotating 24/7 rotas and one-off event work.

How to apply

Send your CV and a short note saying which role you are applying for, your licence status and your availability. If there is a fit, we will contact you to arrange an interview; if there is not, we will say so rather than leaving an application open indefinitely.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a SIRA licence to apply?

For guarding roles, a current licence is preferred but not always essential — we can support the process where you are otherwise a strong candidate.

Do you offer part-time or event-only work?

Yes. Event staffing is frequently short-notice and one-off, and suits people who want occasional shifts alongside other commitments.

How long does the process take?

From application to first shift, typically two to four weeks depending on vetting and licensing.

Do you hire for cleaning as well as security?

Yes. Cleaning teams, supervisors and specialist cleaning staff are recruited on the same basis.
